WDO consulted with TP Bennett architects to help deliver the 1700 sqm
Nike RISE store in Westfield West London.
Based around the global “Nike Rise” store concept - which empowers athletes to make sport a daily habit, supported by digital services - the Westfield store is one of the first spaces to launch Nike's digital platform Sport Pulse, which enables real-time, responsive and localised sport stories.
The store is unmissable with its unsupported rippled glass facade reaching 8M high. The refracted texture distorts the vast digital wall constantly projecting real-time interconnectivity with graphically altered data from their activity apps. The store features Inside Track, an interactive footwear comparison tool allowing reviews and real-time information for informed purchase decisions.
Split over two floors, the store emphasises the sustainability approach of Nike, through the products, as well as the materials used. From the terrazzo flooring to textured clay walls with applied graphics, the construction process saved 44 tonnes of embodied carbon.
